The National
Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) has selected EDS as a
provider of Data Hosting services for its SERFF application.
SERFF, the System for Electronic Rate and Form Filings, enables
insurance companies to streamline their rate and form filing
process. Through electronic filing via SERFF, insurers can save
administrative costs and shorten the time it takes to gain approval
of form and rate changes.
EDS SERFF Data Hosting provides a very simple,
AUTOMATIC, cost effective solution to the complex problem of storing data (filings) in a secure,
safe, state-of-the-art data Enterprise Environment. Without EDS Data Hosting, your process of storing
SERFF filings will not be automatic, therefore, vulnerable to human error. EDS Data Hosting provides
the "peace of mind" that your filings are secure by storing your SERFF filings in an on-site and off-site
location (including back-up and nightly off-site storage on tape). EDS Data Hosting provides you control
by hosting a copy of the filings that your company owns. As opposed to the copy of your filings on the
NAIC Server, which are considered the "state-side" copy. Ultimately, EDS Data Hosting will provide
you access to the Export Tool, Reports, Paper Filing Tracking and SERFF Screens that allow you to
interface with your aggregate data.
